My son had been quietly complaining about heel pain for weeks—hovering around a 4 or 5 out of 10. We tried all the usual things: ice, heat, long warm-ups for his calves and feet before workouts. My 11 year old daughter is 5 weeks into the programme after 7 months of Osgood Schlatter pain. After 6 months of physio which greatly helped with pain management we decided to start the Core Advantage programme as we wanted to just try everything. She started this program with pain levels around 5-6 and is now tracking most days around 1 or some days even 0. It's important to note that she has been very meticulous in following the daily exercises sometimes watching the videos to ensure she is doing each one correctly so I think this has been a great help. The first weeks were succesfull for my son and reduced the pain level substantially. Muscle knots were handled well. Unfortunately after that the pain level stayed the same on average and every modest step in returning to sport was immediately followed by more pain. The 7-week program was extended to 9 weeks. Unfortunately no return tot sport (football, tennis), not even bike riding to school. Mixed feelings.

So far so good! My daughter is 17 years old and plays tennis and volleyball. She has ALWAYS struggled with her knees. It wasn’t until I watched her playing tennis with her basketball playing cousin a few weeks ago that I really realized how much compensating she has to do to avoid bending her knees! It broke my heart! She is 17 years old and plays like a 50 year old protecting their knees. We had given up on trying things over the years because I just didn’t know what else to do! Massages, physical therapists, acupuncture, and lots of ibuprofen have always offered small measures of relief only to be right back at square one again a few days later. I found this program online and we decided to give it a go. Make no mistake, the first week is a test of will for damn sure. I always try everything I ask her to do and I promise you it hurt to put your body weight on that roller the first time. The guy in the video makes it look SO easy. It was awkward, she kept falling off the roller, lots of rug burn on her elbows and knees, and my neck and back were killing me from trying to help her balance and go back and forth, and yes there were tears. Day one of week one lasted about 2 hours! She pushed through (my back pushed through) and by week 2 I’m happy to report she was knocking out her foam rolling like a champ! My elevator pass kid had to run up 3 flights of stairs at school and texted me very excited, “mom, my knees don’t hurt?!??” Today starts week 3 and we’re about to go break down the week 3 videos. To be continued! I absolutely recommend this program if your child is struggling. I recommend 3 things: 1. Commit! Don’t miss any days. 2. Push through. Week one is a beast if you’ve never rolled like this before. 3. Definitely buy the recommended items. The roller and ankle weights work great and I’ll let you know how the knee pad works this week! Thank you for this amazing program. We’re both excited to see what her tennis season will look like in the fall!!!!

When my young athlete went down with severe knee pain I naturally hit the panic button. It the beginning of indoor track season. At that point I had never heard of Osgood Schlatters (OS). Once OS was his diagnosis, I hastened to find a good treatment program. I stumbled upon your program online and it was off to the races (pun intended). After just four weeks he was feeling so good that he tried to rejoin his Winter football team, but reinjured his knee the first practice and he had to return to the beginning of the program. We just finished week seven and he is sprinting without pain, ready for his first outdoor track meet (100 & 200 meters). I would highly recommend this program to anyone who has a young athlete needing to recover from OS. The program deals with strengthening, flexibility, kinetics, as well as load management.
